What I Wore — In the Navy

A casual post-new year’s day party with co-workers called for some subtle sparkle. I have way more navy blue pieces of clothing than I care to admit, but each piece is made of a different material or has a different texture/pattern to it. So I experimented a little by pairing denim with a bejeweled, thick cotton sweatshirt, twill overcoat, leather handbag, suede and sequin flats and sterling silver jewelry. The problem with monochrome outfits in less-than-ideal lighting is that they photograph pretty poorly. Excuse the grainy photo; I hope you still enjoy the outfit!

Also, does it bother anyone else when you’ve got one metallic in the rest of the outfit (ie: silver) but your coat’s hardware does not match?? Anyone? Bueller? haha, I can’t be the only one 😛
